Swapping chocolate for charity – April 2020

Go back

We’re swapping chocolate for charity this Easter and donating much needed funds to help those communities most affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

Instead of sending out our usual packages of chocolate Easter eggs, we are donating £500 to the National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus appeal, set up in partnership with the British Red Cross to help people across the UK during COVID-19.

Adrian Bradley, Managing Director of Fortec Distribution Network, said: “Many people are suffering, not just physically due to ill health, but also economically and socially. People are struggling to make ends meet, businesses are closing, and self-isolation and social distancing means people aren’t able to visit their loved ones.”

This National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus appeal will award funds to UK charities and grassroots organisations that can provide vital support to people in the quickest way possible.

Adrian added: “Fortec is making an initial donation and we hope our staff and members will also get involved, to help us raise much needed funds. If we all contribute a little, we will collectively be able to help many.”
