Supporting local UK charities – Zoë’s Place Baby hospice

Zoë’s Place Baby hospice is a charity very close to our hearts.  Situated in Coventry, only half an hour from Fortec’s base, Zoë’s Place offers palliative, respite and terminal care for babies and children up to the age of five.  We fundraise throughout the year for this special charity and recently donated £8,000 to help the centre.

Zoë’s Place Baby Hospices are unique as they are the only UK hospices exclusively for babies and very young children. Zoë’s Place in Coventry opened its doors in 2011 and has been welcoming babies, children and their families ever since.  There are also Zoë’s Place hospices in Liverpool and Middlesbrough.

Zoë’s Place is a home from home for babies and very young children who have life limiting or terminal illnesses, meaning they have special and complex needs. The hospice can accommodate up to six infants at any one time. There are also ample facilities for the whole family if these are needed. Each individual is given respect and dignity regardless of gender, race, culture, religious beliefs or disability.

Zoë’s Place is a registered Charity and receives little Government funding, so they rely on the generosity of the public to help raise the £2.5 million a year. This helps to keep Zoë’s Place open for the many families that need expert care and support. We will continue our fundraising efforts to carry on supporting this very special charity.
