KB Transport Solutions (KBTS), a fast-growing transport company with its headquarters being based in Coventry, has joined the Fortec Distribution Network as it enters its next phase of growth.
KB Transport is more than just a workforce, it is a family run business based in the heart of the Midlands. First established in 2010 in a small unit in Coventry, the company has since grown to offer its customers storage in any one of its eight warehouses located across the Midlands.
Being situated in the Midlands, Coventry and Crick/Northampton offers an ideal location for companies looking to store their goods in central England ready to be distributed throughout the UK to various outlets.
The central location of KBTS, in the heart of the UK’s motorway network, is a key selling point amongst customers; the M6, M69, M1, M45 and M40 are all nearby and the A45 and A46 also serve the city. Its depot in Crick/Northampton is located off Junction 18 on the M1 near (DIRFT) Daventry international rail and freight terminal, the UK's number one rail centre.
High standards of service combined with a customer-centric approach enabled joint founders and Managing Directors Kevin Bennett and Alan Mohomed to develop long-standing relationships with their customers and over time the business started to enjoy steady growth.
Today KBTS specialises in warehousing, pallet storage and courier services. It also works closely with manufacturers, providing a rounded white-glove home delivery service of furniture, radiators and other heavy items.
Each warehouse offers a complete e-commerce and fulfilment centre, able to manage and operate full customer contracts, serving as a “one stop shop” to meet a customer’s individual requirements. The standard practice of providing each and every customer with a dedicated client manager and using the same teams to deliver and install onsite delivers a seamless service, meaning end customers can make use of their purchases straight away.
KBTS directors were keen to join Fortec to take advantage of the network’s nationwide operations in order to extend its service offering and meet the growing needs of customers.
KBTS started inputting into the Fortec network in January 2018 and has subsequently become a full member inputting around 60 pallets into the network daily.
Another stage of KBTS’ growth is the implementation of its new IT software which will allow customers to monitor their goods online, as well as book/ manage their own deliveries.
Kevin and Alan believe joining Fortec is the next natural step for KBTS as the pair look to continue growing the business.
Financial Director Alan Mohomed said:
“We pride ourselves on our personal approach and our focus on service. Over the past few months whilst working with Fortec we have discovered the company holds the same morals and values.”
“We believe by joining Fortec we will be able to give more to our existing customers, as we can now offer a rounded distribution service across the UK. In turn, this extended offering should prove more attractive to current and potential customers, which in time will allow us to continue in our growth.”
