Pall-Ex Group Awards celebrate keyworkers

Pall-Ex Group has celebrated the hard work of the logistics industry’s keyworkers at its yearly awards event.

Fortec members were part of over 168 independent UK hauliers, International partners and internal team members that joined Pall-Ex Group in celebrating successfully steering their way through a challenging year, while maintaining high levels of service and increasing palletised freight volume.

The logistics company’s inaugural virtual event was a double celebration, bringing the Fortec Distribution Network and Pall-Ex awards together for the first time, following Pall-Ex Group’s acquisition of Fortec during August 2020.

Winners include Stanton Logistics, of Rotherham, who took home the coveted Fortec Member of the Year trophy, whilst Ilkeston-based PMB Pallet Express Limited, scooped the Pall-Ex Member of the Year award.

Both winners were voted for by their fellow members, in each network, in recognition of their dedication to both Fortec and Pall-Ex.

Regional winners for Fortec were also celebrated, with Freightport Logistics claiming the award for the South, Bridgetime Transport winning for the Midlands, and Stanton Logistics also picked up their second award of the evening, winning for the North.

F & G Transport and Team C Express Logistics were recognised for being the Highest KPI Performers in their respective categories.

Further winners include Luton’s Twenty47 Logistics for the Fortec Business Development Award, High Wycombe’s Synergix Logistics for New Member of the Year, while Vallance Transport, of Newton Abbot, claimed the Marsh Commercial Quality Award.

The winners across both Pall-Ex Group networks were selected for their compliance, quality distribution, service excellence and communication throughout 2020.

Fortec and Pall-Ex Stars were also awarded to internal staff members across both networks, nominated by members.

Pall-Ex Group’s CEO, Kevin Buchanan, comments: “We’re proud to celebrate the successes of our shareholder members around the country and champion their efforts to keep the country moving during a difficult 12 months.

“The contribution of every network member and International partner is highly valued and we deeply appreciate the long hours and hard work that have gone into supporting our customers at this time, while continuing to deliver on our promises of service excellence and high standards.

"While we believe that every member is deserving of an accolade, our winners have been selected due to their outstanding performance and exceptional service throughout the last year."

“Our members have faced some real challenges, but we have all worked together to overcome these difficulties to collectively grow our network, which would not have been possible without the working together, winning together ethos that runs throughout the entire Pall-Ex Group.

“We have big plans for 2021 as both networks celebrate their 25th anniversary and we look forward to the year ahead.”
