Fortec Distribution Network’s #LoveTheLorry film was crowned the ‘clear winner’ of a competition run during National Lorry Week 2019.
The mini social media film was all part of the UK-wide scheme by The Road Haulage Association (RHA) – to celebrate and promote the haulage, driving and logistics careers.
Among the wealth of entries, Fortec was praised by the RHA for sharing in the 'lorry love' in a fun and imaginative way.
Adrian Bradley, Managing Director of Fortec, said: “The whole team got behind the video and we’re all thrilled to have won – it’s given everyone a real boost.
“We value our lorry drivers at Fortec because they are crucial to our business and the UK economy. For us, taking part in National Lorry Week and the #LoveTheLorry campaign demonstrates our continued appreciation and commitment of our fantastic workforce, and highlights the haulage industry as an attractive career choice.”
RHA chief executive, Richard Burnett, added: “The response to this year’s National Lorry Week competition was overwhelming and the standard of entries remarkably high. However, Fortec’s video was a clear winner. Although only 45 seconds long, the enthusiasm and commitment of the entire Fortec team really shone through.”
Some of the messages in the short video included:
Fork lift and shunter driver, Adam: “Driving gives me a sense of freedom” HGV driver, Darren: “My cab is my home from home” General manager operations, Stuart: “It takes a certain skill set to be a driver”
